On 24 October 2025, in accordance with the decree on the transport of carbon dioxide via pipelines in the Flanders Region dated 29 March 2024 and on the proposal of Flanders Minister of Energy Melissa Depraetere, the Flanders Government appointed Fluxys c-grid as the operator responsible for the development and management of a CO₂ transport network in Flanders.
